The Kirisun PT8100 Midband Mobile radio is a 256 channel radio that could be used as a vehicle mount or as a base-station radio where some greater communication distances are required than that of a handheld device. The radio has a 25W output power which will allow the user coverage of approximately 18 - 22Km in a direct communication (simplex frequency) configuration.
Greater distances may be reached depending on the quality of the installation and radio set-up. Additionally, the use of repeater frequencies or channels will increase the expected distances much more.
The radio can be programmed to use any frequencies ranging between 66 & 88 MHz.
